January is over already….where did that go?

Are you looking back and thinking “wow what have I achieved as it seems that I’m only getting started” or are you fully into it, measuring your performance against your business goals and laying down solid foundations for the next months ahead?
.
You know, for years a fast start in January was what other people did. I mean I would normally take my holiday from work at least up until the Monday of the first full week back and then, that first week back would be very light on appointments and meetings. Probably more about “did you have a nice break” more than business-related stuff until the third week of January.
.
I’m not saying that’s wrong, as that was pretty much how I’d been conditioned to work when I was in the corporate world of Shell. Weekends were my own (when I wasn’t traveling) and the evening was mine (except when I had an international call that I could make fit my day).
.
This year has been different. I now know what a fast start really is. I am a small business owner and it’s fantastic!
.

Another point before I get into selling you something ha ha….

I’m looking back on just how well I know the city of Sheffield today vs only one year back. Sheffield is only a 30 min drive or a 20 min train journey for me but one year ago I only knew the restaurants and cinemas that we went to as a family. I’d say now I’m in Sheffield 3 or 4 times a week. Exploring locations, networking and helping business with their sales. I love the coffee shops and I love the beer (what about that for a soft southerner).
.
My connection to and connections in the city is growing almost daily. I’m thoroughly enjoying all the camaraderie of the business community, the support, and encouragement they give. It’s great to be involved in conversations about the Sheffield City Region from a strategic and leadership level but, I’m enjoying the banter and the “realness” of the opportunities I have to learn from and providing help to other business owners even more.
.
So back to the fast start. How about January 4th and to deliver some sales training. Sales Process, SPANCOP, and Pre and Post Call structure…The only thing I can imagine tougher than delivering that training so quickly after the holidays would have been attending it!
.
That training was with Sheffield Chamber and I’m delighted with the positive feedback I received from them and I’m thrilled that they have booked me back in for a follow up session in May. It’s great to be recognised by Sheffield Chamber in this way and what’s been really rewarding is that we are already seeing results from that training and you can see that positivity in this testimonial.

Learning in a digital age

Sales Training in a class room format isn’t for everyone and if you don’t have a sales team (like Sheffield Chamber) you cant always set the time aside to attend 1/2 a day or longer training sessions. I get that, but I also believe that self-development keeps you fresh and relevant to your customers and prospects.
.
For some time now I’ve been developing a Sales Training product that I believe will support the ways of working of the business owner who still wants to develop their skills but can’t spare the time that attending a training event would require.
.
That new and exiting product is called THE ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME.
.
I’ve put down The Sales Mindset Coach syllabus into an online fully digital learning programme. Giving you the opportunity to work through the syllabus and learn at your own pace.
.
For me, its the most significant piece of sales training I’ve ever put together and I’m very proud of it. If I were new to business, new to sales or knew that I need some structure around my sales approach, then this would be my “go to” training.
.
To help launch The Accelerator I’ve come up with an absolutely amazing offer.

.

I’m offering a £500 discount when you use promo code ACCEL1 and I’m offering 6 months membership to The Sales Growth Club. This is the Club where you get direct access to me. Click on this link to hear more https://bit.ly/2Wm5KX9

It’s important to me that I help as many business owners as possible and the investment in The Accelerator Programme might be a future purchase vs an immediate one.
.
If you need something more immediate I’ve worked out how I can make myself available to you so I can listen to your sales challenges and look to provide some insight and potential next steps. I have set up, via my website, a way for you to book my time.
.
All you’ll need to do is set up a Sales Mindset Account and when you’ve done that you can book my time.
.

February Madness!

One of the most impactful elements of the training session with Sheffield Chamber was Pre Call Planning – Ask them!
.
I find Pre Call Planning the biggest sales skill that sellers get wrong. Simply not investing enough time to call preparation. Setting objectives, working through scenarios etc.
.
Let me ask you, just how many times have you put the phone down or driven off from a meeting only to think “damn, I meant to say that” or “I meant to ask for this”. At best you’ve got to have another meeting, at worst you’ve lost the opportunity all together. This comes down to Pre Call Planning.
.
I use a structure called WOPPA and I’m offering a 6 x video course plus a downloadable template for only £1.00. Yep £1.00 to the keys to more successful sales call preparation.
.
All you have to do is set up a Sales Mindset Account or find the WOPPA course and use promo code 90%discount.
.
To help you on your way heres one of the videos as a taster – https://youtu.be/BYSL4NnKjOc
.
I’ve also slashed the price of my Effective Target Setting course. With this course you get my Target Setting Calculator and the step by course on how to use it to set the correct sales targets.
.
This is also available for just £1.00 in February and like the WOPPA all you have to do is set up a Sales Mindset Account or find the Effective Target Setting course and use promo code 90%discount.
.
So with January over I am absolutely buzzing for February. The diary is full of opportunities for me to help fellow business owners grow their business with a sales mindset.
